THIS IS NOT YOUR ORDINARY TIME OF PRAYER AND FASTING! Join us from Monday, March 25th -Friday, March 29th for a time of corporate prayer & fasting. This week, we will be impacted by God’s presence and impact others with His Love! This guide will give you daily prayer points and practical challenges that will impact your life and others. We encourage you to give it your all this week!

FASTING OPTIONS

Option 1 – Between the hours of 7am-7pm, participants will consume fruits, nuts, vegetables, juice, and water. From 8:01pm-6:59am, participants will consume only water.

Option 2 – Participants will consume only juice and water from 7am-6pm. (After 6pm you are free to eat what you desire.) 

Please note that if you have any physical problems or are taking medication of any kind,  it is important to consult your physician before beginning a fast.  

DAILY PRAYER POINTS & CHALLENGES

Repentance -Monday 

  • Psalm 51; Proverbs 28:13-14; Ephesians 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 2:4

    • Pray and Confess your sins and ask the Lord for forgiveness. Thank Him for blotting out your sins. Ask Him to have mercy on you because of His unfailing love.  1 John 1:9; Psalm 51:9; Isaiah 44:25.

    • Pray that the Holy Spirit will bring a fresh awareness of any unknown or hidden sin in our lives and of how it separates us from Him. Pray that as we draw closer to Him through repentance, we will experience a new nearness of His presence.   James 4:8-10; Acts 3:19

    • Ask the Lord to forgive us for any way we have grieved the Holy Spirit by the way we live. May the words of our mouth and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing to you O LORD, our rock and our redeemer! Ephesians 4:30, Psalm 19:14

    • Ask the Lord to create a new, clean heart within you. Ask Him to fill you with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please Him. Psalm 51:6.

    • Ask God to have mercy on us as we acknowledge any ways in which we have tarnished our witness through our actions and attitudes. May He forgive us for allowing offense, bitterness, jealousy, anger, or any hindrance to stand in the way of being faithful representatives of the good news. (Matthew 5:16) 

Monday’s Impact Challenge: Setting Our Prayer Time!

Pick your daily prayer time for the week. Once you’ve selected a time, you can set a reminder in your phone.

Deliverance- Tuesday  

Galatians 5:1; John 8:32

• Repent of any doors we have opened through sin that have brought any demonic intrusion or influence in our lives. Declare every demonic door shut by the power of the blood of Jesus. 1 John 1:7-9.

• Decree and declare deliverance from every oppressive influence and power that drives us, influences us, and operates through those around us. Pray and ask the Lord to deliver His children from every form of oppression. Ephesians 6:12; James 4:7; Luke 10:19.

• Pray for the Lord to deliver us from all evil. Ask Him to keep us from walking into places where we will be tempted to stray from God and His ways. Matthew 6:13.

• Deliver us from the fear of man and the pressure to conform to worldly standards. Enable us to live boldly and unashamed of Him. Proverbs 29:25; Romans 1:16.

• Pray for the children and youth of Light City’s spiritual protection, guidance, and deliverance from worldly influences. Isaiah 54:13; Isaiah 54:17.

• Pray for our brothers and sisters that have gone astray and walked away from the Lord. Pray that the Lord will grant them a heart of repentance and a heart of flesh to receive the love of God again. Matthew 18:12-13.

• Pray that by the revelation of His Word, our family members and those dealing with cycles of sin would be completely set free. That they will abide in His Word, and that His Word, and His truth shall set them free as they abide in Him. John 8:32; John 17:17

Tuesday’s Impact Challenge: Encouragement

Choose one form of media to abstain from for the day (social media, music, movies etc.) Take note of how this impacted your day.

Purify My Life - Wednesday  

  •  Pray that God would purify our minds and hearts of everything that does not please Him. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal any impurities in your mind and heart. Psalm 139:23-24; Psalm 26:2-3

    • Pray that we will have the discipline to walk in obedience and to lay down the things that are sinful/unclean in the sight of God. Romans 8:5-6.

    • Pray and thank God for the power of His Word. Ask Him to help you to not only read it but also live by it daily. Pray that you will keep your life pure by obeying the Word of God. Psalm 119:9-11.

    • Pray and ask The Lord to guide your eyes and ears to focus on what is pure and edifying. Ask Him to give you discernment to choose wholesome influences and to guard your heart against anything that may lead you astray. Psalm 101:3; Psalm 119:37;Proverbs 4:23

    • Pray and ask God to give you strength to resist temptations that may defile your heart. 1 Corinthians 10:13.

    • Pray that our heart’s desire would be to walk in holiness, be set apart for God and ready to do His will. Pray that we will have the strength to choose holiness and glorify God in all aspects of our lives. 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:4.

    • Pray that God refines us like gold in the fire, shapes us into vessels of honor for His service. Pray that we become sanctified vessels, dedicated to fulfilling God’s purposes and bringing Him glory. 2 Timothy 2:20-21.


Wednesday’s Impact Challenge: Purge

If you have items in your home or follow social media pages that are not pleasing to God or beneficial for your walk with Christ use this day to purge.


Empower Me To Live For You- Thursday

  • • Pray for the divine understanding of the power of God within you. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you walk in the power of His spirit in your day-to-day life. Ephesians 1:19; Ephesians 3:20.

    • Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to convict us of all unrighteousness and help us to align our lives with His Word & His will. 

    • Pray that we will receive renewed strength to live and walk for Christ in this new season. Pray that all weariness will be removed and replaced by supernatural strength and power! Isaiah 40:31-32

    • Thank God for sending the Holy Spirit to dwell within us to help lead and guide us. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach us to listen to His voice and follow His direction for our lives. John 16:13-15

    • Pray and ask God to direct you daily to make a conscious effort by the power of His Spirit to remove evil desires and anything (and everyone) that leads you to sin. Colossians 3:5.

     

    • Ask God to help you to always exemplify Christ and peace wherever you go and through whatever you say. Ask Him to show you how to let your light shine in this generation so others may come to know Him through you. Matthew 5:16-17; Colossians 3:17.

Thursday’s Impact Challenge: Bless Someone!

Choose one person to bless! You can choose to bless them with lunch, coffee, flowers, or even a small financial gift :)

Increased Love -Friday 

  • Pray that we return to our first love. Pray that if we have strayed, we find our way back to Christ and return to doing what pleases Him in every area of our lives. Revelation 2:1

    • Pray for an increased understanding of just how wide, how deep, and how long the Love of God is for us. Pray that this revelation would cause us to walk in obedience and in the fear of God.  Ephesians 3:18-19; John 14:15; John 17:35.

    • Pray that the roots of God’s love would grow deep in your heart and bring forth life. Ask Him to help you to remove any idols in your heart and replace them with greater love for Him. Ephesians 3:17

    • Pray for a greater ability to reflect God’s love in our daily lives. Pray that any barriers within our hearts hindering the reflection of His love are broken down. 1 John 4:7; Ephesians 5:2. 

    • Pray for a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation to help foster a culture of love and unity within our church. Colossians 3:14.
